History Of Holi
Holi is an ancient festival of India and it was originally known as 'Holikika'. Festivals get detailed information such as early religious works such as the Purammimus-Sutra of the ground and the Kathak-planetary form. Historians also believe that Holi was celebrated by all Aryans, but mostly, in the eastern part of India.
It is said that Holi existed in many centuries before Christ. However, it is believed that the meaning of the festival has changed over the years. Earlier, this was a special ceremony for married women for the happiness and welfare of their families and full moon (rock) was worshiped.
There are two ways to calculate for the Moon month- 'Purnamata' and 'Asta' in the East, the first day starts after the full moon; And later, after the new moon, although the calculus of the Amanata is more common, in the earlier days, the full moon was very much in circulation.
According to this full moon count, Falgun was the last day of the full moon year and the new year was in the beginning of the spring-season (with spring starting from next day). Thus Holika's purnima festival became a festival to make the festival gradually fun, which had announced the beginning of the spring season.
Perhaps it describes the other names of the festival - Vasant-festival and Kam-Mahotsav
References in ancient texts and inscriptions
Besides describing a detailed description in Vedas and Puranas like Narada Purana and Bhal Purana, the festival of Holi is mentioned in the grounds of Mimansa. Hollyotsav is mentioned in a stone about 300 BC found in Ramgarh in Vindhya province. King Harsh also mentioned about Holikotsav in his work, Ratnavali which was written during the 7th century.
Holi festival also receives a reference in the statues on the walls of the old temples. A team of 16th century, prepared in a temple of Viji Nagar capital Hampi, shows a delightful view of Holi. In the painting, Rajkumar and his princess have been standing, in which there are maides who are waiting for syringes or pichkaris to splash the Royal couple in colorful water.
Holi festival begins before Holi with a Holika Dhaha where people gather, and say Wish you Colorful Happy Holi and pray that their internal evil is being destroyed by the way the monster king Hiranakanipu's Sister died in the fire.
In the next morning, the colorvoli is celebrated as Holi - there is an independent festival for colors, where people are tarnished with each other's colors and each other has to taunt. Water guns and water filling balloons are also used for each other to play and color. Any and everyone is an appropriate game, friend or stranger, rich or poor, male or female, children and elderly.
The battle with glee and color is out of open roads, open parks, temples and buildings. The groups carry drum and other musical instruments, place them in place, sing and dance.
People ask family, friends and enemies to throw colorful powder on each other, laugh and gossip, then share Holi's recipes, food and drinks. In the evening, dress up and travel to friends and family.
